Dublin
pubs are as much a part of the Dublin scene as, well... Guinness.
Of course, each pub has its distinctive character and clientele to suit. There are the business pubs with Carvery lunches. There are pubs aimed at the younger set, the family crowd, the older set, the tourists, ravers, musicians, sports fans.... Sometimes one pub serves the lot.
It takes dedication and a strong head to keep on top of the vast Dublin Pub scene. Just to give you an indication of the scale of such a project, here is a map showing the pubs just in the Temple Bar area.

Eliza Lodge is at Wellington Quay along the river, roughly number 24 on the map.

One
"professional" Dublin Pub Crawler has placed online a personal guide
to Dublin Pubs. His tastes
lean away from music, but it's a fun introduction to the local scene. Pubs of
distinction earn ever higher number of Pint awards.
But, a virtual Pub Crawl hardly compares to the real thing, does it? Far better to undertake a Musical Pub Crawl guided by two professional musicians and visit some of the outstanding local Irish Music pubs. As you would expect from the map above, the tour starts right near Eliza Lodge in Temple Bar. Of course.
